TxHIMA offers scholarships in support of HIM education:

Each year the Texas Health Information Management Association (TxHIMA) awards several education scholarships to students who demonstrate academic achievement and commitment to the field of health information management in Texas. TxHIMA promotes education and recruitment of new students as critical success factors for the HIM profession. As a recipient of the scholarship, you will have the opportunity to be recognized at the TxHIMA Annual Meeting held in June.

TxHIMA supports the professional development of individuals engaged in the undergraduate study of health information technology, health information management, and/or graduate study in health information management or related fields. Scholarships are awarded through TxHIMA designated funds.

Candidates for the scholarship must submit applications using the online process through the TxHIMA web site. The decision to award the scholarship is made by the TxHIMA Board.
